Reminders

Set up automatic overdue emails and the weekly report of unpaid invoices.

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Pro and above

Enable automatic reminders

Open Settings → Reminders, enable overdue reminders and review the schedule. Select Save changes to apply your settings.

Automatic reminders are available from Pro. The weekly overdue report is a separate Business feature. Manual document sending is available on every paid plan, Starter included.

Set the schedule

The schedule specifies how many days after the due date each email is sent. You can set up to three reminders. Each value must be between 0 and 90 days and greater than the previous one. The initial schedule is 3, 7 and 14 days.

Add or remove a row, change the days and save. Review the full sequence to avoid emailing more often than you have agreed with clients.

When a reminder applies

Check that the invoice is overdue, has an unpaid balance and the client has an email address. Record received payments so the document does not continue to appear unpaid.

To stop automatic emails, disable the setting and save. Do not mark an unpaid document as paid just to stop reminders.

The weekly report is for you

It summarizes overdue receivables in an email to you, not to clients. It is enabled separately from the client reminder schedule. Check that your plan includes it and save your choice.

Manual sending and troubleshooting

For an individual email, open the document and select Send. Check the address, subject and message. This does not change the automatic schedule.

If an expected reminder is missing, check that the setting was saved, your plan includes it, and the due date, remaining balance and client email are correct. See Send and track for recording payments.
