Business and aboveEnable accounting
When opening Accounting for the first time, you may see the initial setup. An administrator chooses the accounting start date and confirms activation. The application prepares the chart of accounts and initial postings for available data.
Agree the start date with your accountant. It determines the scope of the books and is not just a screen filter.

| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Entries | Review accounting entries and links to their sources. |
| Trial balance | Account balances and movements for a selected period. |
| General ledger | Movements for an individual account. |
| Reports | Summary financial statements based on recorded entries. |
| Dividends | Work with distributions and their associated entries. |
| Chart of accounts | The accounting accounts used by the organization. |
Review an entry
Open the list for the relevant period and locate the entry. Check its date, debit and credit accounts, amounts and description. If a document or payment is linked, open the source and compare the details.
An automatically generated entry still needs review. If something differs, first establish whether the cause is the document, payment, setup or entry itself, so you do not make the same correction twice.
Compare reports
Select the same period in the trial balance and general ledger. Check the account and active filters. Financial reports are based on accounting entries; they are not equivalent to an invoice list or a list of bank receipts.
Before closing a month, compare documents, reconciled payments and personnel costs. After changing a source, review the affected entries and reports again.
Permissions and related modules
Viewers can access summary reports and the chart of accounts, but not the detailed working sections for entries, general ledger and trial balance. Working with the data requires suitable permissions.
Continue to Bank for payments or Declarations for reporting files. Exporting a report does not itself submit it to an institution.
